By downloading, installing, or using basic, you commit to these terms. Read them carefully before shooting.

1. License & Scope of Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and run basic on any compatible Apple iOS device that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

basic is designed for still photography. It requires modern iOS hardware capabilities (including triple-camera systems and ProRAW capture compatibility on iOS 14 Pro Max and later) to leverage its manual priority modes (Shutter and Aperture priority).

2. App Store Purchases, Billing, and Refunds

All transactions, including initial downloads, one-time purchases, or future feature unlocks, are handled entirely through Apple’s App Store billing system.

• Billing: Payment is charged directly to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Refunds: Since billing is managed by Apple, we cannot issue refunds directly. Any refund requests must be requested by the user directly through Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

The basic name, logo, icons, capture interface designs, gesture interactions, and visual layouts (inspired by the award-winning legacy of Argentum Camera) are the exclusive property of Raastey and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the application.

4. User-Generated Content & Ownership

You retain 100% of the ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights in and to any photos, metadata (EXIF/GPS), and image files you capture using basic.

• Zero License Claims: We claim no rights, license, or ownership over your content. We cannot view, access, store, or sell any photo you take.
• Lawful Use: You are solely responsible for ensuring your photography complies with local laws, permissions, and ethical guidelines.

5. Legacy Content & Compatibility Disclaimers

"Legacy Content" refers to photos, DNG files, JPEGs, look configurations, or EXIF metadata generated by you using older versions of basic, Argentum Camera, or related software.

• User Responsibility: Since basic does not operate a proprietary cloud service and stores files directly in your native Apple Photo Library, you are solely responsible for securing, backing up, and preserving your legacy content. We are not responsible for any file loss due to device theft, hardware damage, or system corruption.
• Backwards Compatibility: While we endeavor to preserve compatibility across app versions, Apple's iOS ecosystem and hardware architecture evolve rapidly. We cannot guarantee that legacy photos or specialized metadata will remain accessible or rendering identically on future iOS builds, newer iPhone models, or third-party image manipulation platforms.
• Feature Deprecation: We reserve the right to alter, modify, or retire specific preset looks, shutter-priority rulers, and interface layouts in future updates. Legacy looks or features may be updated or replaced without prior notice.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

basic is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

We do not warrant that the app's functions will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor do we guarantee that iOS camera stack behavior (under Apple's AVFoundation framework) will remain consistent. In no event shall Raastey be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the application, including lost photos, data corruption, or system errors.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Raastey operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
